Bowtie Necklace DIY

Supplies: I hook, some leftover yarn in a fun color.

Bow Body
Ch 21.
1 sc in second Ch from hook and in each ch across. 20 stitches total.
Ch. 1. 1 sc in each stitch across. Turn. Repeat this until you have 15 rows of Sc.

Ch 1 and form a single crochet border around the rectangle you have just made. At each corner you reach, stitch until the end of the row. Ch 1. and turn 90 degree. Then Sc into the last stitch of the previous side and continue across. Cut and bind off this piece and weave in the loose ends.

Center of Bow
Ch 12.
Wrap around the center of the body of the bow and join with a sl st.
Ch 1. 1 Sc in each Ch around and join with a sl st.
Complete 3 Sc rows around the center of the bow.

From the center of the bow, Ch 1, 1 Puff stitch into that Ch 1. *Ch 3. Puff stitch into 2nd Ch from hook. Repeat from * until necklace measures your desired length.

Puff Stitch: (Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over and pull through) 3 times. (7 loops on hook) Yarn over and pull through all 7 loops... make sure to keep these loose or this will be a very frustrating stitch!

When the puff stitch part of the necklace becomes your desired length, attach back into the center of the bow via a sl st.

Enjoy wearing this fun and funky crochet jewelry!
