Santa Hat DIY

In case you are sitting around with just all this time on your hands today... or maybe you need some relax time after the frantic Christmas-ness...  you can make this Santa HAT!  Here's how...

You will need:
-Red and white yarn in worsted weight
-I hook

Stitches:
-Double Crochet (dc)
-Single Crochet (sc)
-Single Crochet 2 together (sc2tog)
-Faux Fur- Loop stitch thing...
....  When you do the loop stitch, it makes the loop on the wrong side of the work (the side facing away from you).  This is a slightly different way to do a single crochet.  Do this by inserting hook into the stitch.  When you do the yarn over to pull through the stitch, instead of wrapping the tail of yarn that is right up next to the hook, wrap yarn that is further away, using your pointer finger to keep a loop in the back, pull the yarn over through stitch (2 loops on hook).  Yarn over, and pull through both loops.     ...I know that sounds confusing, but give it a go, and it should make more sense!

Start with the red yarn.
Chain 4.  Join with a sl st to make a small loop.
