Pretty Purl Hat DIY

Here is a simple hat done entirely with the purl stitch (or knit if you want to flip it at the end) that works up crazy quick and looks great with the large sized Faux Fur Pom DIY from last week.

Want to make a great gift in just a couple hours?  Make this hat.

You will need:
-Size US 13 16" circular knitting needles.
-Bulky yarn
-Stitch marker
-Crochet hook or tapestry needle to finish
-Pom maker or all the supplies from the Faux Fur Pom DIY

Cast on 40 stitches and begin working in the round, taking care not to twist your stitches.
Purl.  A lot.  Just keep purling until your hat is about 6 inches long.
Add your stitch marker.
*Purl 6. Purl 2 together.   Repeat from * until you reach your stitch marker.
*Purl 5.  Purl 2 together.  Repeat from * until you reach your stitch marker.
*Purl 4.  Purl 2 together.  Repeat from * until you reach your stitch marker.
*Purl 3.  Purl 2 together.  Repeat from * until you reach your stitch marker.
*Purl 2. Purl 2 together.  Repeat from * until you reach your stitch marker.
Cut a long tail.  Use your crochet hook or tapestry needle to thread tail through remaining stitches on hook.  Pull tight and knot.  On the inside of the hat (the knit side) make a few more knots to secure.  Use your crochet hook or tapestry needle to weave in any remaining loose ends.

Now use a large pom maker to make a pom or follow the Faux Fur Pom tutorial.  It looks best with a larger pom.  And Congrats!  You're done!  Email me at SansLimitesCrochet@gmail.com with any problems or questions!

Amanda's Dress

Hey all!  I'm thinking about this dress pattern a lot... why?  2 reasons.

1. Amanda (my little sister)  will be home from Boston in 6 days.  And lots of turkey and pie eating will take place... and I will be so happy.

AND 2.  The pattern for the dress I made her will soon be featured on the Annie's website.  WOOH!  Had to take some new photos of it for the site (sadly without Amanda modeling).  Here are a few of those photos.

If you haven't tried this pattern out yet... it is DEFINITELY one of my absolute favorites.  I get so many compliments on it each time I wear it and it is not as hard as it looks to make!  Happy Stitching, friends!

The Book Drops

This book drops today!  If you happen to be perusing those little books by Annie's Attic at the craft store today...  maybe pick one up.  It would make me happy... and I think it would make you happy too.  It is filled with some of my older hat patterns... all still cute.

Happy Stitching!
Happy Friday!
If you're in Colorado come see my mom at the Fine and Funky Art Show at the Opera Galleria starting at 5 today...

And the very most important thing of all...  Today is the last day for early voting in Colorado!  It feels so good to vote- I did it yesterday!  Get on out there and get er done!!!
