BIG big BIG SALE!
OK guys! SO... Before school starts I've been rearranging all my stuff, cleaning out the closet, making space for dancing, space for sewing, and space for more crochet designs!!! YESSSS!
So with that... I have a ton of stuff in my crochet junk bin that I am just dying to get rid of! Think of it as a Sans Limites Crochet Sample Sale - slightly dated designs, slightly funky fitting designs, and ideas I had that just didn't turn out so well... now for sale for little more than the cost of the yarn it took to make them. I just want this stuff out of my house!!!
So...
Little things (necklaces and headbands) are $1 to $5!!!
Hats are for sale $5 to $10!!!
Cowls and neck warmers for sale $10 to $15!!!
And I'm listing some clothing pieces today (tanks, shorts, dresses) for I don't know how much yet, but I'm feeling generous.
(Add shipping costs to all orders!)
There is no way you will find handmade items for less than this ANYWHERE... I truly just want them gone! They'll probably be headed to Goodwill or a charity organization if they are not bought within a month...
Forgive the terrible pictures! Hope you all are ready to go back to school! WOO HOO!!!
Also... I chopped 5 inches off my hair... glad that stuff is gone!

V-Day!
Hey all! I just got a bunch of left over product back from Kansas City Kitty... so it's time for a SALE!
There is nothing better than buying the person who makes your heart warm and fuzzy... something warm and fuzzy for their head, neck, etc... Time for some knits, friends!!!
I'll be listing more items as I have more time to photograph and get on Etsy. Sale is on all the way to Valentine's Day!
YAY!!! Coupon code: VALENTINE
Now get to shopping!
AAAAAND... EVEN BETTER!
This Valentine's Day is the 15th anniversary of V-Day... a day to support women who have been victims of violence around the world. And this year is the ONE BILLION RISING campaign.
This is how it figures... 6 billion people in the world. 3 billion are women. 1 in 3 women in this world have been victims of rape or violence. That is ONE BILLION women. Pretty scary thought, no? So... Join the One Billion Rising campaign... this Valentine's Day is your opportunity to Strike, Dance, Rise and demand an end to the violence. In other words, take some time to go outside and dance a little!
You might need a hat to keep you warm while you're out there getting your dance on... just sayin. Read more about it onebillionrising.org

Home Again, Home Again!!!
Hello all!
Hope you had a lovely week! In the last 11 days, I have spent 6 of them driving, 2 at Renegade, and 1 Christmas shopping when the highway was closed! I have done no crocheting... needless to say, I'm wound a little tightly.
Finally made it back to Fort Collins not even 3 hours ago, then left immediately after that to grab my sister from the airport... who almost got stuck in Chicago until SUNDAY because her flight was canceled. Holy moly, are we glad she hopped on a different one and is here... just in time for the world to END! (At least we'll all be together, haha!)
Now I need to start Christmas shopping/making, do lots and lots of laundry, answer all your Etsy messages, ship some presents and orders and stuff, make some custom orders from Renegade, get my life organized, work on the DIY's I promised you, find a Christmas tree... I don't even know why I'm still sitting here writing this with so much on my to do list...
But for now... a hot bath so my feet will be warm for the first time in 11 days... that was one cold road trip! More fun stuff to come tomorrow!

CYBER MONDAY!!!
Hi all! Hope you had an amazing weekend of yummy food, people you love, and some small business/ buy local Christmas shopping!
Today is the day to get all your amazing internet deals and keep from battling the crowds - much more my style! Lots of Etsy sellers are participating, so it is still a chance for you to support small business!
As for me... Enter the coupon code BUYSMALL on Etsy in my shop and get 30% off anything... patterns, hats, dresses... all 30% off! Buy something handmade for the person you love and show some love to crafters at the same time. Coupon code is good all week... in case this Monday is a little crazy for you!
Got this in an email from Craftsy creator Josh Scott yesterday and shared it on Facebook (you follow me on facebook - right???) but figured it was worth sharing again... here ya go...
"Making is different. It is special, meaningful and long-lasting in a world full of disposable items. It stretches us to do things we never thought we could do, enables us to enjoy child-like pride over something we have created, connects us to people in our community and around the world and perhaps most importantly, creates cherished moments and memories that are sure to out-live us."
Happy Holiday season to you all!!!
Lots of Love,
Sara

Plaid Friday and Small Business Saturday
It is that week again... It's like the Olympics for cookers and shoppers. You cook all day, eat all night, then shop the rest of the night (because shopping at 4 in the morning is pretty much still night time... let's not kid ourselves).
The more I've read and learned about the world... the less into big store shopping I've become. ( Ok... I still love Target, but after watching a documentary on Wal-Mart... I'm pretty sure I'll never set foot inside one again.) I've even been successful with my clothing challenge... I haven't bought a NEW piece of clothing since JUNE and with my birthday only 3 weeks away, I think I'm going to make it! I can't believe all the cool things I've found at thrift stores... and all the money I have saved!
So... in an effort to get our AMERICAN economy rockin again, I'm trying to make everything on my list (and every gift I buy for people) bought from a local business, re-used/re-purposed, or handmade. And my hometown is making that so easy on me. There are about 3-5 craft fairs per weekend here so I can buy from all my crafting friends. Fort Collins is also having a Plaid Friday (instead of Black Friday) where all the local businesses are having awesome sales and super fun events to boot. But fear not if your hometown is not as cool as the Fort (this place is pretty hard to top) because American Express has launched Small Business Saturday. So if you really can't give up your Black Friday habit and amazing deals, make sure you come home early enough to fit in a good nap and some leftovers and make it back out to support your local small businesses on Saturday!
We just made it through a terribly divisive election where we all agreed we want a president who will be hard on China. Your Christmas budget is a great way for YOU to be hard on China, support your friends and neighbors, stimulate our economy, and all become friends again in the spirit of Christmas... or any other holiday you are celebrating this season.
Wishing you all so much love, happiness, and cherished time with the ones you love this week!

Display Head DIY
You can buy those foam heads at Hobby Lobby for fairly cheap... they're nice to have at a craft fair, but pretty darn ugly. If you read this blog, you know I'm not always so skilled in Mod Podge - ing... Knit and Crochet is about where my craft skills end. BUT... had to have a go at making these heads look a little more attractive. If I can do it, you can too.
All you need is...
-Foam heads ($5-$10 at Hobby Lobby)
-A vintage looking book from a thrift store.
-A container of Mod Podge - I like the Matte (NON-glossy) kind for that vintage look
-An old junky paint brush you don't mind getting Mod Podge all over
-I also like laying out some plastic bags so glue driblets don't get all over the place
1. Rip the Pages out of the book and into various smaller pieces.
2. Paint the back side of the piece you're using, stick to to the head.
3. Paint over the piece especially around the edges, sealing it to the head.
4. Repeat until the head is covered, using smaller pieces around eyes, nose, mouth.
5. Let it dry over night.
6. Boom... pretty display heads. YAY!
Then try and get all that mucky podge off your fingers before you go back to your pretty yarn.

Insta - SLC ...French Nest
Today was the French Nest Market! Hip Hip Hooray! Pretty pumped the stress of that is over and plan to spend tomorrow sleeping, hiking, cooking, and maybe thrifting... and not crocheting at all. (My fingers could use one serious break!) It was an absolutely beautiful day and I took a ton of pictures! As always- you can follow SansLimitesCrochet on Instagram for constant updates! Hoping to have lots of market related DIY's and patterns coming out in the coming weeks for all you fellow stitchers that attend craft markets as well! Yay! Happy Weekend, ALL!

75 and Sunny
Hi All!
I'm so so very sorry I haven't posted in so so very long! In the last few weeks, I decided a bit last minute to do an outdoor market this weekend- The French Nest, applied and was accepted to Renegade in San Fran (more on all that later), applied for grad school (EEK!), had a garage sale at my house, enjoyed an awesome visit from Rachel from Washington (one of my very best friends), and made a whole stash of large and small Weekender Bags and Roll Top Backpacks (which if you've made those - know it takes quite a bit of time). Anyway... been quite busy and there have been far less posts, DIY's, and patterns. And that makes me sad. BUT, after this Saturday - returning to all that full force! And just in time for the little BOOK RELEASE! Geez Louise... there's a lot going on over here!
How many of you guys have gotten stuck doing outdoor markets in horrible weather? I have far far far too many times. In fact, when I was at the Salt Lake Farmer's Market - I swear mother nature would play one big joke on me with absolutely perfect weather all week long until market day... week after week. It was a downer. Which is why I'm so crazy excited the forecast for this weekend is 75 AND SUNNY!!! Thanks Colorado! And it reminded me of one of my favorite songs I listen to all the time! I'll definitely be playing it at my booth this weekend - so if you are in Northern Colorado - come visit!!! Etsy shop will be closed Saturday - check Ravelry and Craftsy for any pattern needs you may have!

RE-Organized on Etsy!
Howdy all!
So 2 weeks ago, I said I was splitting my shop in two... that proved to be more complicated than I was hoping for, so instead I did a massive reorganization!
So, if you look in the upper left column you will see I have edited my Shop Sections.
Finished Accessories - includes already made hats, scarves, and headbands that range in price from $17 to $30.
Finished Clothing - includes already made clothing items like skirts, shorts, vests, dresses, tops, skirts, etc. that range in price from $45 to $250.
Finshed Bags - there is nothing in this category at the moment, but I'm scrambling to get some super awesome bags ready for craft fairs and boutiques. When they are not for sale in those locations, they will be for sale HERE. Price range is probably going to be $45 to $250 (because if you have been stitching you know that Roll Top Backpack takes a lot of work)!
Knit Patterns - This section is for those knitters out there! Some things just need to be knit to have the right look or drape. I'm not a super advanced knitter myself, so all of these are pretty great for beginning knitters or crocheters trying to learn to knit for the first time. $5-$7.
Crochet Accessory Patterns - crochet patterns for hats, scarves, cowls, headbands, handwarmers but NOT BAGS (they have their own sections). $5-$7.
Crochet Clothing Patterns - crochet patterns for tops, skirts, shorts, dresses, vests, etc. $5-$7.
Crochet Bag Patterns - my current favorites! All tapestry crochet bags and cases for your shtuff. $5-$7.
Crochet Home Patterns - OK... the floor pillow pattern is all that is there now, hopefully more coming soon!
Reserved/Great Deals - the place for things made especially for you and other great deals. Expect this section to grow a lot in the coming months! Once things settle down a little bit here there will be the chance to get great deals on patterns in this section! Great deals on patterns? HOORAH!
So check out the new shop! Hopefully it is easier to find stuff, if you are having any problems let me know.

TED
Anyone else obsessed with TED talks? I had listened to a few, but got really hooked while living in California with the amazing Liz Jones. Such awesome talks for people who love to learn about a variety of things. Liz knows about my Clothing Challenge and sent me this one... IT IS SO PERFECT!
So, watch it and learn! And thanks so much for sharing Liz!
AAAAAND... yes, patterns and DIY's have slowed down a ton... bummer, I know. BUT, I have been applying for lots of things lately and already heard back... going to be in the French Nest Open Air Market on Oct 20, and possibly selling my stuff in the downtown boutique Kansas City Kitty in January. YIKES, there is a lot to do!

Insta - SLC and other shtuff
Some instagram photos from the Sans Limites life this week...
And other shtuff to chat with you about...
1. The Etsy sale is still going on. Use coupon code SPLIT to get 20% off everything in the shop! Even the expensive stuff!
2. The Etsy shop will be reworked into TWO different shops on Monday. WOH big day!
3. I have project ADD really really badly right now... (Is it bad to have 3 bags, a backpack, 2 dresses and a vest unfinished??? Yeah... I think that's bad!) Needless to say... patterns and DIY's are coming quite slowly because of this issue...
4. Pattern are also slowing down just a bit because I've been making birthday gifts, getting a start on Christmas gifts, as well as trying to build my stock of shtuff for holiday art markets, various craft shows, and a few little boutiques around town... that's a lot of shtuff! Shoot!
5. I've also been taking lots of days away from stitching so I can go up into my beloved Colorado mountains and enjoy my favorite season. Seriously.... the leaves... they're just so prettttttty!
And that's what's going on over here! The END.
